About the Author
Ling Cho
張苑鈴
Collector of stories. Author of quiet moments.
Ling Cho (張苑鈴) has spent much of her life collecting stories — some joyful, some mysterious, some heartbreaking, and some unexpectedly humorous.
Many of them were found not in extraordinary places, but in ordinary moments shared with family, friends, and strangers along the way.
Whispers of Bamboo grew from those moments. Like the sound of bamboo leaves moving gently in the wind, these stories are quiet reminders that life often speaks to us softly — through memory, kindness, coincidence, laughter, and love.
She is also the author of the poetry collection Love, Life and Smile.
May these stories accompany you for a little while, and perhaps leave behind a smile, a memory, or a quiet thought of your own.

What Inspires Ling
Ordinary Moments
The most meaningful stories are rarely found in extraordinary places — they live in quiet conversations, shared meals, and the small kindnesses that pass between people every day.
The Whisper of Nature
Like bamboo leaves moving gently in the wind, nature speaks softly. Ling listens — and finds in its rhythms the same patience, resilience, and grace she hopes her writing carries.
Memory and Connection
Family, friends, and strangers met along the way — each one a thread in the tapestry of a life. Ling's writing honors these connections and the stories they leave behind.
